Dr. Shayna Bronsky has 14 years of experience providing disease prevention/health promotion/lifestyle modification assessments and counseling to corporations, hospitals, groups and individuals. Her area of expertise is cardiovascular risk factor reduction (i.e. weight loss/management; smoking cessation; stress management and exercise prescription). In addition, She focused on women's health issues through the lifecycle, with particular emphasis on the emotional/psychological aspects of health behavior change.
She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institue of Technology, an M.A. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Connecticut, an M.A. in Applied Psychology from Boston University, and has Basic Life Coaching Program Certification from Therapist University. Her area of expertise is Health Psychology.
Prior to obtaining her Doctorate, Shayna spent five years as a Health Promotion Consultant in a corporation in Boston, creating a comprehensive corporate Health Promotion Program for a total of 4,000 employees in the Boston and Washington, DC offices. She also created a Corporate Officer Health Promotion program and worked with 12 executives one-on-one in both cities for two years. She designed and implemented two health promotion/disease prevention research studies, which resulted in statistically significant findings.
